Early Country Christmas Bazaar – Nov 1st

It’s that time of year! Peace Lutheran Church Women put on an “Early Country Christmas Bazaar” the first Saturday of November each year, from 10am – 2pm. This year will be the 51st year!

This year you can look forward to the following:

  • Lefse (no limit)
  • Rommegrot and Flatbread
  • Quilt Raffle
  • Crafts and Harvest
  • Baked Goods
  • Used Treasures
  • Homemade Lunch (Soup, Salad, Roll, Pie)
  • Silent Auction
  • Gift Card Tree

It is the only event the women put on to earn their budget money for the following year. It’s rather amazing that we accomplish that in four hours!

Some of our budget items are for:

  • Benevolences to 9 local non-profits
  • All the coffee/tea/filters/napkins/paper plates etc. in the kitchen
  • Bibles for 3rd graders and seniors, along with quilts
  • Scholarship money for Camp Lutherwood and Holden Village
  • LWR projects – quilting, school kits, and baby kits
  • Tithing to our local Synod and a thanksgiving offering each November

And the list goes on. We meet monthly on the first Wednesday of the month at 11:30. We enjoy lunch and fellowship and then usually hear a community speaker.
